A maintenance inspection involves much more than simply checking whether equipment powers on. Our technicians assess the overall condition of the equipment, test its performance and identify any signs of wear, damage or developing faults that could affect safety, reliability or efficiency. We also carry out any maintenance required in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations to help ensure the equipment continues to operate as intended.

Before the visit:

  • Confirm what equipment and areas are included.
  • Review previous reports and any known faults.
  • Coordinate access, shutdowns and exclusion zones.
  • Arrange for a venue representative to be available to discuss any ongoing issues.

During the inspection:

The technician will…

  • Check for damage, wear, corrosion or loose components.
  • Test the equipment’s normal operation and safety functions.
  • Inspect mechanical and electrical components where required.
  • Take measurements and record results against manufacturer requirements and relevant standards.
  • Check equipment labels, asset details and service history.
  • Look for developing faults that may not be obvious during normal operation.

If an issue is found:

Where appropriate and within the agreed scope of work, minor adjustments may be completed during the visit. Any defects identified will be documented and discussed with the venue. Urgent safety concerns will be communicated immediately, while repairs, replacement parts or additional work may be quoted separately.

After the inspection:

Following the inspection, the venue will receive a detailed report outlining the equipment inspected, the findings and any recommended actions. This enables defects to be prioritised according to safety, reliability and operational impact, while also supporting future planning for repairs, upgrades and maintenance budgets.

How the venue can prepare:

  • Make sure all equipment can be easily accessed.
  • Allow time for testing and any required shutdowns.
  • Let the technician know about intermittent faults or unusual behaviour.
  • Have previous reports and equipment information available where possible.
