The P.A. People is pleased to welcome Tim Butler as our new Project Delivery Operations Manager.
Tim brings almost three decades of experience across technical theatre, venue engineering, audio visual integration and major project delivery. His career began working backstage in amateur theatre productions before gaining a formal qualification in the theatre industry. Whilst working as technician across a variety of venues around Melbourne and Geelong Tim was successful in gaining the role of Technical Coordinator of the Devonport Entertainment and Convention Centre.
His career has spanned live entertainment, venue operations, touring, systems integration and large-scale infrastructure projects. Working as a touring technician, Venue Technician/Coordinator, Tim’s career developed into senior project management positions with Jands Venue Engineering, project management with Fredon Technology, delivering major projects including the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre redevelopment, SCG audio upgrade and Western Sydney Stadium. Most recently, Tim spent four years in the NSW Police Force.
Speaking about his new role, Tim said: “I have worked across many different parts of the industry over the years, backstage, touring, venue operations and complex project management. I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to The P.A. People and helping the team keep delivering great outcomes. For me, it is about good communication, working together and making sure people have the support and tools they need to do their jobs well. If we can keep improving how we work together, everyone benefits—our team and our clients.”
Managing Director Chris Dodds said Tim’s breadth of experience makes him an outstanding addition to the team. “Tim brings a rare combination of hands-on technical experience, major project delivery expertise and operational leadership.
