Event Communications …activity ramps up!
Happily, it has been a reasonably busy season for the Events Department. We have continued to support various sporting codes, and this has seen the Bose ShowMatch PA working hard; in Qudos Bank Arena for the Sydney Kings home games and the PA ‘Carts’ at both Netstrata Jubilee Stadium and Leichhardt Oval. We continue to support our stadium clients for game-day matches, along with the return of additional overlays for Anzac Day this year. The last couple of months have seen a return of activity with some of our corporate clients ‘in the room’ along with the continued integration of remote solutions. As always, we are providing innovative and practical communication solutions for our clients.
The Blue Mountains Theatre …audio upgrade expands capability
‘Recently we added a new centre speaker cluster which elevates the system to a new level and increases the theatrical options for the Venue’ said Brett Steele – Manager, Installed Systems at The P.A. People.
Back in 2015 – The P.A. People was tasked with supporting the AV requirements for the brand-new facility at Springwood in NSW – and were responsible for the installation of all the theatre audio, lighting, paging, vision systems, and communications infrastructure. The project was undertaken in conjunction with Kane Constructions. At the time, Josh Jones, Installations Project Manager on this task, said; ‘The audio-visual infrastructure allows various hirers and user groups to patch into the system – making it versatile and user-friendly’.
St Anne’s Catholic Church …AV upgrades welcomed!

As with many venues during the various stages of COVID-19, congregations and activities at churches have faced restrictions. This has led some to consider their level of technical support and to upgrade accordingly.

St Andrews College …new systems improve user experience
St Andrew’s College is a co-residential college within the University of Sydney with a population of over 285 male and female undergraduates, resident Fellows and graduate residents.
The P.A People were selected to upgrade the old audio system in the Dining Hall and the Chapel at the College to improve user functionality and improve the quality of the audio in these spaces; Project Manager, Frank Zayzon led this task.
Staff Profile …Brendan Griffin
Brendan’s first experience of The P.A. People was at 16 years old, on a high school work experience placement back in 2009. He was welcomed back to do some casual shifts during his school holidays and joined us as a full-time On-Road Service Technician Apprentice – straight after completing his HSC. He completed the Certificate III in Electronics and Communications and his desire to learn more has not waned.
