“The PA People are very knowledgeable. I worked with both Brett Steele and Chris Dodds on The Art House Wyong. They walked the council through the process, and as we changed and updated a lot of the specified equipment throughout the project, The PA People were prompt with re-quotes and keeping council up-to-date. As a result, the council got amazing value for a regional theatre, and the community is now enjoying a very professional space.” Simon Koenig, Technical Manager – The Art House Wyong.
The Art House is the Central Coast’s brand-new performing arts centre featuring a 500 seat theatre, 130 retractable seat studio, gallery foyer with bar and café and meeting room. We provided sound, lighting and stage management systems required for the new facility. This covered the theatre, studio and foyer.
The Studio
Within the studio we installed a complete lighting grid and curtain track which has 120 dimmer outlets feeding back to the dimmer room. We also included 72 channels of Jands HPC dimmers which are controlled by an ETC element 250 lighting console. The audio solution for the studio included a portable system, consisting of a pair of JBL EON 615 speakers and a Yamaha TF1 mixing console.
The Theatre
The theatre lighting system configuration included 260 dimmer outlets feeding back to 168 dimmer channels. This was powered by an ETC GIO lighting console.
The audio set up for the theatre consists of a JBL VRX speaker system, configured as a left-centre-right and includes Crown DCR amplifiers and the Yamaha QL5 mixing console. RIO stage boxes are deployed on the stage and in the studio. The stage management system includes paging to the back of house and front of house areas. There is also a talk-back system and QUE light system for stage communications.
The Foyer
Within the foyer apart from paging there is also LCD displays for digital signage and live theatre vision broadcasts to the foyer.
