During May and June, The P.A. People were on the road attending several key industry events that the company proudly supports.
ENTECH Australia once again toured the country, visiting Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth throughout May. The touring team included Chris Dodds, Sam Dodds and Peter Grisard, joined in each location by local staff members Tim Pike (Brisbane), Kate Kelly (Melbourne) and Steve Browne (Perth). Established in 1994, ENTECH has evolved into Australia’s only national one-day touring trade roadshow, bringing together professionals from the live production, entertainment and AV industries.
The VAPAC (Victorian Association of Performing Arts Centres) Technical Managers Network Conference, held at the Meat Market in North Melbourne, was attended by Peter Grisard and Kate Kelly, with support from Wayne Ruddick. As the name suggests, the conference brings together Technical Managers from performing arts venues across Victoria, providing an excellent opportunity to showcase The P.A. People’s Venue Engineering and Installed Systems capabilities.
Chris Dodds and Jodie Steele then travelled to Adelaide for the Venue Managers Association (VMA) Congress. Unlike VAPAC, this event attracts delegates responsible for the overall management and operation of venues, rather than technical managers. The congress generated several high-quality conversations and promising opportunities that we look forward to developing into future projects.
