Over time our Installed Systems team have provided AV support for Luna Park. Most recently the team replaced the audio system in the Luna Park golf cart to improve the live performance sound for visitors to the park.
The golf cart is used for pop up performances by singers and dancers to entertain the patrons. The cart is also used as part of the street parade through the centre of Luna Park.
We installed three JBL Eon610 self-powered speakers on a mount, custom built in our workshop and positioned it above the rear deck of the golf cart to improve the audio coverage of the audio system to better than 300 degrees.
Along with the new speakers, two Shure BLXR radio microphone systems and an auxiliary input were provided for the parks entertainers to use. Control is via a small rack mounted mixer located behind the driver. This upgrade replaced the single 12” inch and horn speaker cabinet that was mounted in the rear of the cart under the rear deck, which did not give the client the coverage they were looking for.
Power for the system is supplied from rechargeable batteries through a power invertor also mounted in the rear of the cart.
