2016 ANZAC Day Football Event Comms

… comms provided for Swans & Roosters double-header at Moore Park

The Sydney Swans home game at the SCGs played on the Saturday of the ANZAC long weekend was again supported by The P.A. People Event Communications team.

We rolled out an audio solution during the weekend which included a performance by the Australian Defence Forces Band fitted with lapel microphones performing the National anthem which required comprehensive in-ear monitoring and fold-back speakers (used at the foot of the stage).

We also looked after the Swans on field support personell with two way radio communications interfaced into the ClearCom PICO matrix frame.

A similar communications solution was delivered on ANZAC day itself for the Sydney Roosters game at Alliance Stadium where we again provided support for the Defence forces band. In addition, we included in-ear monitoring supplying a feed to broadcast for TV networks.

At both SCG & Alliance Stadiums we also provided the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust with a systems engineer to look after the audio within the entire venue, ensuring the PA systems covering the grounds was working at optimal performance.

Along side our regular match day commitments, The P.A. People also provide audio support for the series of Swans training nights that are open to the public, providing an opportunity for the coaches to chat to fans and invited guests.

We look forward to supporting other up and coming sporting events including the Wallabies VS England tour, A-League final and State of Origin. Over the next 3 months we will be handling AV support for a number of teams including the Dragons, Roosters, Bulldogs, Swans, Souths, Waratahs, Sydney FC and West Tigers.
